Main Types and Functional Characteristics of Hand Warmers
Hand warmers are commonly used products for winter warmth and localized heat application. They come in a wide variety of types and are highly targeted, and can be categorized from multiple perspectives.
Based on the heating area, hand warmers can precisely adapt to the needs of different body areas: Foot warmers are specifically designed for the feet, fitting snugly inside shoes, and providing 8-12 hours of warmth, effectively solving the problem of cold feet; Body warmers/back warmers have a large heating surface, suitable for the waist, abdomen, back, and other areas, providing continuous warmth over a wide area; Shoulder warmers/joint warmers are designed to conform to the curves of the shoulders, neck, knees, and other joints, relieving discomfort from cold joints; Hand warmers/mini warmers are handheld portable models, small in size, convenient to carry, and meet the hand warmth needs in outdoor, commuting, and other scenarios.
In terms of heating technology, the mainstream type is the iron powder oxidation heating type, which releases heat through the oxidation reaction of iron powder with oxygen in the air. This technology is mature and provides stable heating. Phase change material type relies on the phase change process of crystal hydrates to release heat, resulting in a more uniform and gentle temperature. Chemical mixing reaction type relies on the mixing of two agents to generate heat, providing rapid heating but with a shorter duration.
In terms of functional segmentation, ordinary warming types only have basic heating functions to meet daily cold protection needs; medicinal additive types incorporate traditional Chinese medicine ingredients such as ginger and mugwort, providing warmth while also offering soothing and conditioning effects; aromatherapy types add essential oils such as lavender and peppermint, releasing fragrance when heated, combining warmth and aromatherapy benefits; women’s special types are designed for menstruation, with a gentler temperature to soothe abdominal discomfort. In addition, there are special functional products with features such as adhesive and non-adhesive options, multi-stage temperature control, and ultra-long-lasting heating (over 24 hours), adapting to diverse usage scenarios.
Warm Patch Packaging Machine
The automatic warm patch packaging machine is the core equipment of the warm patch production line. Its working principle is to automate the entire process of warm patch processing, from raw material filling to finished product packaging, achieving highly efficient connection between production stages. This is crucial for ensuring the mass production and quality of warm patches.
This equipment plays a vital role in the production line, transforming raw materials into finished products. It accurately delivers raw materials such as heating iron powder, activated carbon, and salts, as well as functional additives such as medicinal ingredients and essential oils, into the packaging film, then completes processes such as sealing, shaping, and cutting. This significantly improves production efficiency and reduces human error.
Currently, most mainstream equipment is a multi-functional integrated model, equipped with a PLC control system and a touch screen operating interface. It has three core functions: First, automatic feeding, equipped with a precise metering system, can accurately control the dosage of heating material or powder in each bag, ensuring that the heating effect of each heat patch is consistent; Second, the packaging process, which heats thermoplastic sheets or films to their softening point, and then presses them into shape using a mold, fitting them into a preset three-dimensional shape to form a sealed inner bag for the heat patch, ensuring that the heating material does not leak and has controlled contact with air; Third, mold cutting, through precise forming and cutting, can ensure that the appearance and specifications of the heat patches are uniform, and minimize the waste of raw materials, effectively reducing production costs and providing solid equipment support for the large-scale and standardized production of heat patches.
