What Is Vacuum Packing Machine

Vacuum packaging is not only widely used in the pharmaceutical, food, and electronics industries but is also suitable for product packaging in several other fields:

1.Meat and Seafood Products: Vacuum packaging can effectively inhibit microbial growth, extending the shelf life of refrigerated or frozen foods.

2. Chemical Materials: Protects chemicals from air exposure, avoiding oxidation, moisture absorption, and other reactions, ensuring product quality stability.

3. Metal Products: Prevents metal surface oxidation and corrosion, especially for precision parts or special metal materials.

4. Textiles: Helps reduce volume for easier storage and transportation, and prevents dampness and mold.

5. Cultural Relics and Documents: Vacuum packaging of valuable documents, archives, artworks, etc., can slow down the aging process and extend their preservation time.

6. Hardware and Electronic Components: Prevents oxidation corrosion, ensuring the performance and lifespan of components.

7. Local Specialties : Enhances shelf life, facilitating long-distance transportation and sales.

8. Agricultural and Sideline Products: Such as grains, cereals, nuts, fruits, vegetables, etc. Some products can achieve freshness preservation through vacuum packaging, but it’s important to note that some fresh fruits and vegetables should not be vacuum-packed for long periods due to their need to breathe.

9. Daily necessities: Some cosmetics and personal care products can also use vacuum packaging to extend shelf life and protect product properties.

10. Precious Traditional Chinese Medicines: Vacuum packaging can effectively prevent moisture and pest damage, maintaining the active ingredients and quality of the herbs.

11.Emergency Supplies: Vacuum packaging can be used for emergency medical supplies, food, and survival kits, ensuring they remain sterile and protected until needed.

12.Seed and Plant Storage: To ext end the shelf life of seeds and protect them from pests and moisture, ensuring higher germination rates.

However, it’s important to note that vacuum packaging is not suitable for all types of items, especially those that are fragile, prone to clumping, easily deformed, or have sharp edges, as well as products like fresh fruits that require air. For some foods that should not be highly deprived of oxygen, vacuum gas-flushing packaging technology can be used, where inert gas (such as nitrogen) is filled after air is evacuated to protect the product’s form and quality.

The advantages of vacuum packaging

Prevention of Food Oxidation: Foods rich in fats contain a high amount of unsaturated fatty acids, which are prone to oxidation. This oxidation process can lead to discoloration and spoilage. Vacuum sealing effectively isolates the food from air, preventing oxidation and thus preserving the color, aroma, and nutritional value of the food.

Isolation from External Environment: Once vacuum-sealed, the absence of air flow effectively prevents issues such as odors, moisture, insects, bacteria, and secondary contamination of food. This isolation ensures the food remains in its intended state, free from external environmental factors.

how vacuum packing machine works

Bag Placement: The process starts with placing the bag into the packaging machine. This step prepares the package for the product to be inserted.

Opening the Bag: The machine then opens the bag to ensure it is ready to receive the product. This can be done automatically by the machine.

Filling: The product is filled into the open bag. This could be any range of items, depending on the machine’s intended use—from food products to electronic components.

Transfer to Vacuum Turntable: Once filled, the bag, along with the product, is transferred to a vacuum turntable. This specialized component is designed to hold the bag in place for the vacuum process.

Pressure Reduction and Vacuum Creation: The machine reduces the pressure inside the chamber where the bag is held, effectively creating a vacuum. This step removes the air from around the product within the bag.

Continued Vacuum and Sealing: While maintaining the vacuum, the machine then seals the bag. This ensures that the minimal air is left inside, and the seal is tight to prevent air from re-entering.

Pressure Release: After the bag is sealed, the machine releases the pressure in the chamber, returning it to normal atmospheric conditions.

Output: Finally, the vacuum-packed product is output from the machine, ready for storage, shipment, or sale.
