    Introduction: What is Filling Machine?

      Machines that fill liquid products into packaging containers are generally called filling machines. A considerable part of filling machines are used in the food industry, especially the beverage manufacturing industry.

    The filling methods for a filling machine

    Isobaric Filling Machine: Used for packaging beer, carbonated drinks, and other gas-containing beverages such as oxygenated water. It can also fill non-gas beverages.

    Vacuum Filling Machine: Used for non-gas beverages and alcohol filling, with minimal dripping from the filling valve.

    Atmospheric Filling Machine: Suitable for alcohol, dairy products, condiments, mineral oils, pharmaceuticals, health care, and other chemical products. It offers minimal liquid loss and precise volumetric filling through gravity.

    Pressure Filling Machine: For non-gas drinks (like water) with quick filling speed and no liquid loss.

    Volumetric Pressure Filling Machine: Back pressure type (piston), offering precise and adjustable dosing, used for filling low-viscosity liquids like vegetable oil and daily chemical products.

    Weighing Filling Machine: Used for accurate dosing of beverage concentrates, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and vegetable oil, featuring electronic and mechanical scales.

    Linear Push Filling Machine: Intermittent step conveying, suitable for special-shaped packaging containers and large-volume liquid packaging, though less efficient.

    General Information about Liquid Filling Machines:

    Designed primarily for glass bottles, cans, and PET bottles. Aseptic filling machines for juice and milk in Tetra Pak packaging range from 0.25 to 2 liters, available in brick, gable, and triangular shapes, mostly imported. Modern liquid filling equipment often integrates filling, sealing, and container cleaning processes. Customizable based on client needs, packaging, and sealing requirements, filling machines are often modular, allowing for various combinations to meet specific demands.

    How to Select Filling Machine ?

    (1) To better serve the production process, the selection must be based on the properties of the material liquid (viscosity, foaming, volatility, etc.).

    The liquid materials used for filling are mainly low-viscosity fluids, sometimes including thick liquids with a viscosity greater than 100 Pa.s.
    The former can flow at a certain speed by relying on its own weight, such as oil, wine, juice, milk, soy sauce, etc.; while the latter requires an external force greater than its own weight to flow at a certain speed, such as ketchup, toothpaste, etc.
    Depending on whether CO2 gas is dissolved, low-viscosity liquids are divided into two categories: gas-free and gas-containing. For carbonated drinks, it is customary to call drinks without alcoholic ingredients soft drinks, such as potions, mineral water, cola, etc.; while drinks containing alcoholic ingredients are called hard drinks, such as beer, sparkling wine, champagne, etc.

    If it is juice, it is best to use a vacuum juice filling machine to reduce contact with air and ensure product quality; if it is sauce liquid, it is best to use a mechanical squeeze filling machine; for low-viscosity liquids such as milk, Use gravity filling machine.

    (2) One machine can be used for multiple purposes. Since food factories produce complex varieties and specifications, the workshop area is limited, and products change frequently, the filling machine should be able to adapt to the production of multiple varieties.
